À l'occasion de la 25^e édition du Festival International du Photojournalisme Visa pour l'Image - Perpignan, les éditions Snoeck ont le plaisir de publier, pour la sixième fois, le catalogue officiel du festival.

Depuis sa première édition en 1989, le festival nous rappelle que, pour une information visuelle de qualité, le regard du photojournaliste est indispensable. Cette fois encore, Jean-François Leroy, directeur et fondateur de Visa pour l'Image - Perpignan, nous livre au cours d'un entretien son point de vue surle photojournalisme et revient sur l'histoire du festival.

Pendant 24 ans, Visa pour l'Image - Perpignan a accompagné les mutations économiques et politiques des métiers du photojournalisme et de la presse, et a soutenu les professionnels en leur donnant l'opportunité de montrer leur travail et de le faire découvrir au plus grand nombre.

For the 25^th International Festival of Photojournalism Visa pour l'Image-Perpignan, the publishing house Snoeck is pleased to be producing the festival's sixth official catalogue.

Since 1989, from the very first festival on, the message has been one of quality-quality visual news reports conveying information, seen through the eyes of the photojournalist - the essential contribution. The festival is the event not to be missed by anyone who appreciates photography and reporting, and every year more than 200 000 visitors flock to the festival in the city of Perpignan.

The catalogue features an interview with Jean-François Leroy, founding director of Visa pour l'Image-Perpignan, explaining his view of photojournalism and reviewing the history of the festival.

For 24 years now, Visa pour l'Image-Perpignan has been keeping track of developments and changes in the politics and the economy of photojournalism and the press industry, and has provided support for professional photojournalists through opportunities to show their work and have it discovered by larger audiences.
