Véritable capsule temporelle, ce show capture à bien des égards la spontanéité, les aspirations et l'esprit de toute une époque. Filmé en public, Rock and Roll Circus a été réalisé par Michael Lindsay-Hogg et conçu comme une émission spéciale pour la BBC, mais n'a jamais été diffusé. Longtemps considéré comme le 'Saint Graal' du cinéma rock, cet événement réunit des cracheurs de feu, des acrobates et des clowns, ainsi que de magnifiques performances Live des Who, Jethro Tull, Taj Mahal, Marianne Faithfull, The Dirty Mac Band (John Lennon, Eric Clapton, Mitch Mitchell et Keith Richards), Yoko Ono et des Rolling Stones. L'image du film a été restaurée en 4K et réétalonnée, le son remasterisé, 8 titres bonus ont été rajoutés. Disponible en blu-ray pour la première fois avec le son Dolby Atmos.
