Anthologie de quatre heures et 72 titres de la communauté musicale de Laurel Canyon, devenue une force mondiale dominante à la fin des années 60 et au début des années 70. Retraçant l'évolution de la scène depuis The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, Love et The Doors jusqu'aux débuts du country-rock et au boom des auteurs-compositeurs-interprètes qui ont défini le début des années 70. À la fin des années 60, le lien entre le monde de la musique internationale et le monde de la musique avait changé d'orientation. des points chauds comme Liverpool, Londres et San Francisco jusqu'à Laurel Canyon, une oasis rurale au milieu de l'agitation de Los Angeles. À quelques minutes d'Hollywood, du Sunset Strip et des maisons de disques/studios de Los Angeles, Laurel Canyon est devenu le foyer d'un hybride folk, country, rock et pop qui englobait tout le monde, de des premiers joueurs The Byrds et Buffalo Springfield aux Doors, Frank Zappa, Glen Campbell et fabriquait les piliers de la pop The Monkees.
