Le label ACT a permis à plusieurs chanteuses de prendre leur envol et d'embrasser une carrière internationale. Viktoria Tolstoy, Rigmor Gustaffson, Ida Sand ou bien sûr Youn Sun Nah. A 31 ans, Natalia Mateo rejoint l'écurie du label munichois et dévoile un talent versatile. Née en Pologne, elle a grandi en Autriche et vit aujourd'hui en Allemagne. Son identité musicale s'est construite en puisant dans le folklore slave, le jazz américain et le corpus pop/rock d'auteurs-compositeurs tels Joni Mitchell ou Amy Macdonald. Son album est éminemment personnel, entre fidélité à la tradition et exploration de certains des grands thèmes de l'existence moderne : profondeur et impermanence des relations interpersonnelles, beauté des liens d'attachement, indépendance. Une chanteuse qui cultive l'art de l'ambivalence, entre vulnérabilité et assurance, mystère et évidence, ombre et lumière, limpidité et incertitude.
