History Of The Eagles est le premier documentaire consacré au célèbre groupe californien formé, en 1970 à Los Angeles, par Glenn Frey et Don Henley. Leur premier album paraît en 1972, mais plus connu est sans conteste le mythique Hotel California dont la chanson éponyme conquit le monde en 1976. Ce film nous propose un véritable voyage de plus de 3 heures au coeur du groupe et de sa musique à partir d'archives TV et de documents personnels. La réalisation est signée Alex Gibney, Oscar du meilleur film documentaire en 2008 pour Un taxi pour l'enfer.
