À l'occasion du 35e anniversaire de la disparition d'Antal Dorati en 2023, Deutsche Grammophon présente ses enregistrements longtemps indisponibles des symphonies de Beethoven avec le Royal Philharmonic Orchestra dans une nouvelle édition Capbox 5CD. Antal Dorati (1906-1988), l'un des chefs d'orchestre les plus importants du milieu du vingtième siècle, a fait de Beethoven un point central de son répertoire. Ce cycle de symphonies de Beethoven a été enregistré en 1975/1976, au début du mandat de Dorati en tant que chef d'orchestre principal du Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. L'enregistrement allie puissance et profondeur à une clarté dansante.
