Après des mois passés à composer et enregistrer, Steven Wilson a annoncé la sortie de 'To The Bone', son 5ème album. Un disque ambitieux qu'il dit lui même être influencé par les oeuvres pop/progressives qu'il adorait dans sa jeunesse. Des disques sublimes tels que 'So' de Peter Gabriel, 'Hounds of Love' de Kate Bush, 'Colour of Spring' de Talk Talk ou encore 'Seeds of Love' de Tears For Fears. Au niveau des textes, les 11 titres de ce nouvel album traitent du chaos paranoïaque environnant, dans lequel la vérité devient apparemment une notion de plus en plus floue. De l'observation de la vie quotidienne des réfugiés, des terroristes et fondamentalistes religieux, ainsi que d'un retour, les yeux écarquillés et peut-être plus joyeux, sur l'évasion que Steven a réussi créer à travers sa carrière jusqu'à présent.
