Iain Matthews

Iain Matthews (né Ian Matthews MacDonald, le 16 juin 1946) est un musicien et auteur-compositeur-interprète anglais. Il a été un membre original du groupe de folk rock britannique Fairport Convention de 1967 à 1969 avant de partir pour former son propre groupe, Matthews Southern Comfort, qui a eu un numéro un au Royaume-Uni en 1970 avec une reprise de la chanson de Joni Mitchell « Woodstock ». En 1979, sa reprise de « Shake It » de Terence Boylan atteint la 13e place des charts américains. Ce coffret comprend les 4 albums majeurs de sa discographie produit par Sandy Robertson. Ainsi que 2 cds bonus comprenant des concerts donnés en 1978, 1979 et 1984. Mais aussi de nombreuses démos. Plus de 50% du contenu est inédit.
