Accompagné de ses fidèles partenaires Gary Peacock et Jack DeJohnette, le pianiste survole comme à son habitude quelques grands classiques du Great American Songbook comme 'The Masquerade Is Over', 'Autumn Leaves', 'When I Fall In Love' ou encore 'I'll See You Again'. Mais on trouve aussi au répertoire de ce concert exceptionnel trois reprises à couper le souffle de monuments du bebop : 'Scrapple From The Apple' de Charlie Parker, 'Bouncin' With Bud' de Bud Powell et 'Doxy' de Sonny Rollins. After the Fall est un témoignage indispensable de l'effervescence de ce trio historique..
